5th DAV United Festival
The annual DAV United Festival, recently concluded in Navi Mumbai at the Ramsheth Thakur Stadium, Ulve on the 20 & 21 of January 2024. It was a thrilling two-day spectacle, was a mesmerizing meet of STUDENT, TEACHERS, PARENTS AND ALUMNI schools, colleges, universities, and communities to revel in a fusion of arts and entertainment. Delightful dance and music performances by students, parents, teachers, and accomplished alumni, alongside a stellar lineup of popular singers regaled the visitors at the Meet. Alumni members from DAV Institutions throughout India, who are currently in Mumbai joined the in meet-and-greets with luminaries from the worlds of cinema, sports, art, and culture.
DAV Odisha was represented by the Regional Director Dr K C Satapathy, Regional Officer Shri L N Pradhan along with a host of other Principals and heads of Institutions. The Odisha stall depicted the epitome of Odisha art and heritage through colorful displays projecting the traditional history and cultural diaspora.
The story of Ratha Yatra narrated through an intricately crafted nine-feet chariot, the rituals depicted through different artefacts and a divine ambience left thousands of visitors spellbound as well as spoke of the pride the state carries for its identity.
The chariot intricately depicted through the paintings and the carvings, amidst the mantras and the ringing of the ghantas, left the students, alumni and their families engrossed in a spiritual feeling. An overwhelming response from the visitors and their devotional fervour left the DAV Parivaar Odisha enthused and gratified.
The stall also depicted the achievements of the exemplary DAV Alumni from different walks of life. As a rare feature, there were also Notes of Blessings from Gajapati Maharaja, Union Minister of Education and Chief Minister of Odisha.
The unique thought of Regional Director Dr KC Satapathy could be put into action with the wonderful team of principals and the team of art teachers displaying a fantastic aesthetic expression. The stall was widely appreciated by the DAV dignitaries and other distinguished visitors during the two-day festival.
